Aegypius paid no mind to the dark spaces and flashing lights around her as she sat on her throne, eyes closed and head bowed. She always felt focused here; the void was closer, her power stronger, her senses sharper. Her mind could reach far.

She could feel the hotel around her now. She couldn't hear it in quite the same way she knew Shiro could, but she could sense what it was trying to do around her - and it was trying to force her out. It no longer had any chance at stopping her space from existing, so it had begun trying to cut it out like an aggressive tumor. Outside, the brick around her room was exposed and cracked as it started to slide away from the rest of the wall. The windows that didn't exist inside had shattered and fallen away on the exterior, leaving crooked, splintered frames looking in on nothingness.

She could feel it trying to seal her door from the outside. There was some doubt whether it could be opened by anyone other than herself at this point - but that was okay. She wasn't expecting any visitors, and her Shades didn't need doors to wander.

The Shades had spread with her influence. Many still hovered around the room with her, but some now shuffled aimlessly up and down her hallway. Fewer wandered the hallways beyond, on this and the floor below hers. One, she could feel, had just materialized on the front lawn, but she knew it would be gone soon. The faraway stragglers never existed long. But where they were, Aegy could reach. She could see through their eyes, if she focused. It was a strain, but...

Now she could see the hotel cafe - devoid of life save for Ares, who was perched on one on the tables, sizing up a nearby bird spider as a potential snack.

And then nothing.

Now she could see Barlow - looking mostly himself again, the dwarf looked worriedly in her direction as he carried a box toward the basement stairs.

And then nothing.

Now she could see... a door? A door that felt remarkably similar to her own. Unmarked. Different, somehow. Her interest was piqued for a moment.

And then the Shade she was looking though faded, joining the others in nonexistence. Her energy burned through them quickly, and the glimpses she could get were frustratingly brief.

But she didn't have much time to worry about that. Something else was happening. There was a feeling in the air around her. It was starting - the next round.
